The PorterBuilt 63-72 Trailing Arm X member is a bolt-in crossmember designed to improve the rear suspension on 1963–1972 Chevrolet and GMC trucks. It is an upgrade for modified or lowered trucks and replaces the original factory trailing arm crossmember.
Key features
Performance and stance: The adjustable design solves issues that arise when lowering the rear of a C10 truck. It improves geometry, handling, and ride quality.
Adjustable mounts: Multiple fore-aft mounting points allow you to center the wheels in the wheel well, accommodating various drop heights.
Driveshaft clearance: The crossmember features a “hoop” design to provide added ground clearance for the driveshaft, a crucial benefit for slammed or bagged trucks.
Exhaust routing: It is configured to allow for dual 3-inch exhaust to be tucked up and out of the way for better ground clearance.
Driveshaft compatibility: It is available in versions designed for either one-piece or two-piece driveshafts.
Tubular trailing arm crossmember built using thick-wall 1.5″ tubing & 3/16″ steel.
