Ford Style 9 Inch Nodular Iron Third Member 31 Spline, 3.89 Gear Ratio, 1310 Series yoke, 3.062" Cap. These units are made with brand new everything from the case and internal components. These castings offer extra reinforced webbing. New forged steel bearing caps secured in place with cap screws that are torqued at the factory. All mounting surfaces are machined flat to insure a proper gasket seal. The case has an oil fill that is threaded, and the plug is included. The POSI is a clutch-style which gives this unit the ability to engage both rear wheels to spin at the same time on hard acceleration. This clutch-style also benefits your vehicle in cornering allowing the outer wheel to release and disengage the POSI allowing no chirping or jerking of the tires in turns.
