Several aftermarket companies offer alloy (aluminum) side engine mounts for Chevrolet small block (SBC), big block (BBC), and LS engines. Unlike solid-metal mounts designed only for racing, aluminum mounts often incorporate polyurethane or rubber bushings to reduce vibration while maintaining a firm connection. Some are “universal” side mounts, which are useful for custom engine swaps.Â
